"I'll Be Your Sub -Sti-Tute!!!"

I was very bold last night.

He loves her for many reasons.

I love her for different ones.

He was lonely and cold last night.

She wasn't in town.

I was.

There wasn't much sleep*had after he joined me in my bed. Breakfast was a subdued affair this morning with much nodding off in the cornflakes. He's not much of a conversationalist to begin with so it's not like I was missing much by letting him doze. It gave me time for a pot of tea and a think.

No getting around the fact I did a bad thing.

*Nessan is the squirmiest kid in the world and is a tormenting bollocks to have in the bed. At one point he had his big toe in my ear. He needs to stay in his own bed.

Bold indeed. Have you tried spraying a smidgen of the oul chocolate essence on the bairns sheets?

A tad whiffy for my nose.. but foolproof.

All my girls are way too grown-up for our bed now, but to be honest, one remembers with great pleasure the memory of a toddler's big toe in one's nostril!

How's it bad? I snuggle my kids all the time. Doesn't matter that I'm not Momma, sometimes Maddy's good enough - better than nothing anyway. I think it's normal and sweet, and how can you leave a sweet smally in bed lonely and cold, anyway?

Just trying to understand...

Mapstew,
How's the form? There is an endearing quality to it alright. Usually it's much more apparent to me when I have had some sleep in the previous 48 hrs.

Jimmy,
Now that's an idea. Usually all three of the lads are fine it's just on the nights that Herself is away that they all want to climb in to her bed.

Tim,
The older lads are (usually) just fine now and we've gained a lot of experience that we apply to Nessan. Some nights it all goes out the window.

Kim,
I'm driving the Doom Bus baby.

Savannah,
Only the one? He must have been an 'Export only' model.

Seda,
I'm not really saying it's bad. Nessan only pulls this stunt when Herself isn't around. He does the pitiful toddler thing to perfection and I am too tired (having had no sleep in the previous two days) to put him back in his own bed.
