Speaking Of Good Music.....

The Scribe and The Basque brought me along to the 9:30 Club tonight to see the lovely Lisa Hannigan and her rather fine band.

I can't find enough superlatives to describe the experience.I'll just leave it at "Brilliant".

She's on Colbert tomorrow. A must see.

I'd have photos if the security folks at the venue hadn't deemed my camera "Professional Equipment". A bit of a pain in the hole but not enough to put a dent in a beautiful night.

The Low Anthem opened for her tonight and are well worth a look too.Darwin...I'm looking at you in particular....to take a look like.

*Sigh* I wish you could see the smile on my face.

I've been to Lisa's gigs a few times, and always have a smile on my face leaving too.

Lovely!

She's brilliant! I've seen her live twice and both times I was mesmerised by her voice. If you don't have it already you should definitely get a copy of her latest album 'Sea Sew' HQ, it's marvellous, so lovely to listen to :)

Jimmy,
True that.She's lovely.

Pat,
I can't say enough good things about her.If she's ever in your neck of the woods you should check her out.

Meadow,
She has a habit of doing that.

Even to a habitual sourpuss like me.

Whoopsadaisy,
It's on the hopper. We were on the guest list and supposed to be "taken care of" but they were leaving for New York right after.

Savannah,
I haven't but I will soon. Her voice is amazingly good.

Sniffle,
I have to agree with 20 on the Riceball. There was bit of banter with the crowd and she was very sure to distance herself from him.
I have indeed.Amazing stuff.Turns out I had heard Antony before and not known who it was. Thanks for the heads-up.
